Committee appointed by Supreme Court for IPL Betting Case Investigation, which was led by Retired Justice Lodha has given Verdict.
According to the Verdict Teams Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, two of the most successful IPL Teams, have been suspended for Two years. Also Gurunath Meiyappan who is Son-In-Law of N Srinivasan and integral part of Team Chennai Super Kings and Raj Kundra who is Co-Owner of Team Rajasthan Royals are both found guilty of betting and has been banned from all cricket activities for a Lifetime.
Verdict has been kept on hold for IPL COO Sundar Raman. Players of CSK and RR might go through with Auction game again, there are also rumors for Team Kochi and Pune to be back in IPL, or there may be some new Teams.
Meanwhile, BCCI has restricted all it’s authorities and members not to give any statements or mutter any word about the verdict, till the time they take legal advice. Mail stating the same has been sent outto all BCCI Officials from Jagmohan Dalmiya, who is BCCI President.
Now When Biggest Cricket Scandal has been out and revealed, is Suspention of teams and Owners enough? Many People are demanding ban of IPL as Fixing and Betting, also BCCI’s cover up to all scandals will continue.
We do not know in Long Run what actions will be taken but as of now, India Cement’s [Owner of CSK] Share Price has gone down 6%.
